AI Interviews: Qualitative research that runs without you
AI Interviews give you a dedicated AI moderator that conducts conversational interviews with your users, asks intelligent follow-up questions after every response, and delivers qualitative insights at any scale, without you in the room.

Traditional interviews vs.TheySaid AI interviews
Scheduling one interview takes hours. Running them at scale used to take a team.

Interviews Don't Scale
Every interview requires a moderator. One researcher can only run so many sessions in a week, which means qualitative research stays limited to small sample sizes and infrequent research cycles.

Scheduling Slows Everything Down
Coordinating calendars, sending reminders, rescheduling no-shows. Just getting people into a session eats up time before any research even begins.

Follow-Ups Depend on Who's Asking
The quality of a traditional interview depends on the moderator catching the right moments and asking the right follow-up questions. Good moderation is inconsistent across sessions and interviewers.

Synthesis Takes Hours
After interviews wrap, researchers spend days reviewing notes, identifying themes, and writing up findings before anyone can act on them.

Qualitative Research Lives in Silos
Interview recordings, transcripts, and notes sit in separate tools. Connecting insights to other feedback channels requires manual work across multiple platforms.

Interviews That Run Without You
AI moderates every interview session on your behalf. Set your questions once, publish your interview, and let AI conduct every conversation while you focus on other work.

No Scheduling Required
Respondents complete interviews whenever it works for them. You get the same quality of conversational research without coordinating a single calendar invite.

Consistent Follow-Ups Across Every Session
AI asks follow-up questions after every response, based on what the respondent actually said. Every interview gets the same depth of probing, regardless of how many sessions are running simultaneously.

Insights Summarized Automatically
AI analyzes responses across all interviews, identifies recurring themes, and surfaces what matters most. You get a clear picture of what respondents said without manually reviewing every transcript.

Everything in One Workspace
AI Interviews sit alongside AI User Tests, AI Forms, and AI Polls in the same platform. All responses feed into unified analytics so qualitative interview data connects with the rest of your research.

FAQs
AI Interviews are built for qualitative research. The primary use cases include post-onboarding research, post-event feedback, market research, customer discovery, and any situation where you need to understand why respondents feel or behave the way they do. Because AI asks follow-up questions after every response, interviews produce the kind of depth that traditional surveys and forms cannot.
AI Interviews are designed for qualitative conversations where follow-up questions are expected and encouraged after every response. AI Forms are built for structured data collection, with an optional toggle into AI conversation mode for additional depth. Use AI Interviews when the goal is understanding why, and AI Forms when the goal is collecting structured responses at scale.
Follow-up questions are shaped by two things: the respondent's actual answer to each question, and the Learning Goal you set in interview settings. The Learning Goal tells Evo what you are trying to understand, which guides how it probes and what direction it takes each follow-up.
Yes. AI Voice and User Voice are both available and can be enabled independently in settings. AI Voice has Evo speak questions aloud. User Voice lets respondents speak their answers rather than type. When anonymous mode is on, voice recordings are deleted immediately after transcription.
Yes. Each question has its own follow-up setting in the question builder. You can set AI to ask 1 follow-up, 2 or more follow-ups, or no follow-up at all. The setting is configured per question, not applied to the whole interview.
If a respondent expresses that they want to connect with someone, AI will share the calendar link you have configured in settings. If a respondent has a support issue, AI shares your support contact information. These links are set in the interview settings before publishing.
AI Interviews connect with Salesforce, Slack, HubSpot, and Zendesk. Response data flows into the tools your team already uses for CRM, support, and communications.
No. Respondents access AI Interviews through a link, QR code, or embedded pop-up and complete the session entirely in their browser. No downloads, installs, or account creation required.
