Unmoderated User Testing

Unmoderated user testing is a research method in which participants complete tasks and answer questions independently, without a live facilitator during the session. Participants access the study through a link, complete it at their own pace, and submit their responses for analysis.

Researchers configure the study in advance, defining tasks, recording settings, and question flows. Participants complete the study on their own device, in their own time, without scheduling coordination. Screen recordings, click paths, audio narration, and written responses are captured and aggregated.

Unmoderated testing is faster, cheaper, and more scalable than moderated testing. Studies can run 24/7 across time zones, recruiting hundreds of participants simultaneously without the logistical overhead of scheduling individual sessions
