Wireframe Testing
Wireframe testing is the evaluation of low-fidelity design representations, structural blueprints showing layout, navigation, and content hierarchy without visual styling, with real users. It allows teams to validate core design decisions before visual design and development investment begins.
Participants are shown wireframes and given tasks to complete or questions to answer about the design. Because wireframes lack color, typography, and polished visuals, participants focus on structure and function rather than aesthetics, providing feedback on navigation, content organization, and task flow without being distracted by visual design elements.
